I have researched the Wilson Family tree back to 1829 to John Wilson who was born in Glasgow about 1829, he was a Glassware sales and warehouse man who was married in Manchester in December 1849, the fathers name on the Marriage Certificate is Hugh Wilson. John Wilson lived in Manchester and St Helens before moving to Birmingham between 1860 and 1861. According to family folklore he was part of the Chung Clan.

John Wilson married Amelia Jarrett who was born in Ireland around 1829, the fathers name on the marriage certificate is John Jarrett and his stated profession is 'in the Army'.
