Pendeen, a friendly village that has a rich heritage of Industrial Archaeology and world wide mining connections. There is a village store, post office, and two public houses. A Bus Service from the village can take you too many different destinations if you want to leave your car and enjoy a more relaxed outing.

The Coastal Footpath to Lands End or St Ives is nearby, and you can walk for miles on the Penwith Moors, where the remains of Chun Castle an Iron Age fort, and the Men an Tol are just some of the interesting remains of things past. You can visit Levant Engine House on a day when the famous steam engine is working, or for a more informed history of Tin mining the Geevor Heritage |
Centre is a wonderful place to learn about the area you see around you, and the Café does real homemade pasties for you to sample after your tour.

Sit awhile in Boat Cove, or on the beach at Portheras. If bird watching is your hobby, we have many unusual feathered visitors to these shores at times.

We have a lot to offer you in Pendeen, no matter what time of the year you visit, so come stay with us, and see for yourselves this unique part of Cornwall that is still very much Cornish.
WEST PENWITH.
| This area of Cornwall known as the West Penwith abounds in interesting things to do. St. Just the most westerly town in England has a history made up from mining tin and there are many reminders of that past in the area. The scenic route from Pendeen to St. Ives is one of the most spectacular in the country. St Ives, you can explore the quaint streets browsing, the shops and galleries including the famous Tate Gallery, and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Many famous artists make their homes here in Penwith as they did in the past. Newlyn also has connections with the art world as well as being a thriving commercial harbour. Further on is the picturesque little village of Mousehole. |

| Visit St. Michael's Mount or Penzance with its busy harbour and shopping centre. There are many beaches in the area for surfing or just lazing, Sennen and Porthcurno to name but a few. You can take boating or fishing trips from Penzance or St Ives, cycle, take a bus ride or enjoy a round of golf at Cape Cornwall Golf Club. Spend an evening at the Minack open air Theatre which is set in the cliffs |

overlooking the sea. Stroll around Lands End, or even take a day trip to the Isles of Scilly by boat, helicopter or Skybus. This is only a small account of what is on offer, and if after this you are hungry - well there are many and varied places to eat as local fresh food is on offer everywhere. |
