Playa Grande, La Republica Dominicana
The Dominican Republic is one
of the places I most enjoyed
visiting on my travels.The
people are friendly and there
are some fascinating things on
this Island.There are land crabs,
tarantulas, cacti with acidic sap,
plant extracts which can make all
your hair fall out, amber (the amber museum
in Puerto Plata is worth a visit), voodoo
religion, the house of Diego Columbus, desert islands,
blue lagoons, abundant marine life, and merengey
music to name just a few of them.The photograph
is of Playa Grande a beautiful beach
near Puerto Plata on the north side of
