We went to visit our eldest son, Matthew, (Matto, Matto-san).
Matthew was an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) on the Japanese Exchange and Teaching (JET) programme, at Yuza Junior High School, Yuza-machi, Yamagata-ken during 1996/1997, and the photo's I took during our stay with him, give but a glimpse of an absolutely fascinating country and people.

There are photo's of Hiroshima, Tokyo, Kyoto, Haguro-san, Yuza-machi, as well as people and other events. We hope you enjoy your visit - we did!
