Rosie Scott recently moved back to Cornwall, where she is inspired by the
environment. She works in West Penwith and the Scillies as well as continuing
her fascination with tall ships and the sea. She works in overlaid watercolours
in an unique style which uses vivid colours to give a satin effect in places.
She also works in oils. Her turquoise water colour comes from Holland and Rosie
believes that water colour quality should last for 200 years, and so uses only
the finest colours available. She is currently working on a sequence of oils
involving flowers and tall ships. Rosie has had work at the Capstan Gallery
for some time and is a regular contributor. She currently lives in St Ives and
has just returned from a sponsored trip to Australia
