A few years ago, Richard Price and I collaborated on two poems on the subject of friendship, one of which was a translation of a one of Rilke's Sonnets to Orpheus. These were not generally well received by the workshop at the time, with some members being outraged by the concept of a collaborative poem where (as in the case of these) it was not possible to separate out which bits had been written by which writer. Fortunately, this did not disturb the editor of Object Permanence, who published the poems. More recently, I've been involved in collaborative translation with Danny Weissbort of poems by Yunna Morits.
