ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Martin Penalver was born in 1968 in Colchester Hospital, England
Noted at an early age for his reading skills and imagination in writing Martin left school not to write, but to succeed in management within the retail sector, before moving into the plastics sector in his mid twenties.

During this time he would occasionally write pieces of poetry, songs and quotes and articles. One such piece of poetry "River Of Dreams" won a national placing and was published. Martin went onto win critical acclaim for his poems "The Shadow Dancer" & "Ticking Of The Clock".

The first book 'In Search Of An Angel' was started in 2001 but never finished, as Martin wrote the first twenty chapters. After a suggestion from a friend in 2005, he dug out the manuscript, rewrote the first few chapters, and sent it off to a clutch of publishing houses.

The first publisher to get in touch was Libros International and after meeting with the director of operations it was agreed in contract. The book 'In Search Of An Angel' was to be realised. That book was completed in April 2007 and released in November of that year.

Following the success and overwhelming feedback, Martin decided to extend the story into a trilogy, an idea that had been in his mind as he wrote the first book and could now be achieved thanks to the support of the reading public and Libros International.

'Ticking of the clock is the second in the trilogy- 'Laws of The Angel' and follows on from the smash hit 'In Search of an Angel.'

Martin's style of writing and books have captured the hearts of a new audience who have found his work to be graceful, thought provoking and refreshing. There are other projects that Martin is working on which include a spin off from the 'Laws of the Angel' trilogy and a football based book which is to based on a true story. Martin is also working on a set of children's titles which will be aimed at school curriculum and will be humorous, yet educational.
