Ticking of the clock- Synopsis & Story Outline/Authors Notes

Synopsis

Time is a gift we all are given at birth. Through our creation and throughout all known history, all is counted in terms of time.

But do we understand time? Do we know its limitless boundaries and do we understand its precious value?

Your brief life is measured meticulously with time. It counts for all you do whether you realise it or not. From the moment your eyes open in the morning to the final vision you see last thing at night. Time is your Lord and master.

You the learned, you the learner, it matters not, for time will give you every chance to follow your dreams for that is its absolute gift.

But time will one day take all away from you. That is its absolute truth.

Then time will pass onto the next. They will have the chance to write upon the blank sheet that time presents them.

So who am I?

I am many things but you will learn that I am you. I am the teacher for a moment and you are the reader.

Walk with me now through a fragment of time. A mere 30 years, little over quarter of a century in a world where thousands of centuries have passed and many more will come to pass.

One slice of time will illuminate so much, for you will know the power of the gift and how one act will affect the fabric we weave.

You all judge time by the hands on the face of a clock.

So let it begin…The ticking of the clock.

Authors Notes

Ticking of the clock is the second in the trilogy entitled 'Laws of the Angel.'

The book follows on from 'In search of an Angel' and features many of the characters from book one. The theme of the story is set in the decade of 2000 onwards and sees the changes in both the characters lives and the worlds as a whole. When I wrote this book I felt that many of the events were just waiting to be told. The story again, I hope, will take the reader onwards with a journey that they can relate to, a vision not so different from what they feel and think.

'Ticking of the clock' is a book of struggle, belief, hope and failure, of love and promise, of greed and brutality. I feel it epitomises the main factor of our existence, to love and be loved.
