Powder Manufacturing Methods. There are four basic methods of producing powders for thermal
spraying. These are "crushing", "agglomeration", "chemical" and "atomisation".
Each method can be further sub-divided and powders can also be made by various
combinations from each group. As a result there is a wide range of production
