One of the best boards out there for quake 1 mapping, reading this will keep you up to date with all the new releases, as well as things like the quake 1 monster project. Another excellent quake site, with a great set of tutorials for people who want to learn QC. The forum is also one of the best places for finding out about new mod releases for quake. This place is just cool, some incredible speedruns for quake maps. Recently they've also gone in for runs for other games, such as half-life.
