Charities NetWork promotes the work of humanitarian charities in
the workplace. It is a registered charity itself.
Our work has two main objectives.
- The first is to make sure that people know what charities can
do for those who need help. (You'd be amazed how many of us need
the support of a charity at some time in our lives.) For example,
you or one of your colleagues may have a relative who is partially
sighted or blind. He or she may be unaware that there are many
charities that can help. We can put that person's family in touch
with the most appropriate charity.
- Our second objective is to encourage people at work to make
charitable contributions through the payroll to the charities of
their choice.
We make sure that every donation, however small, makes a positive
difference to someone's life.
Please find it in your heart to support us. If your contribution
comes through the payroll you don't have to pay tax on it. This means
that we receive £1.30 for every £1 that you give.
It only takes a few minutes to set up, and even £1 a week can
make a big difference.
We'll give you all the help you need to help others.
Payroll giving is the simplest and most effective way to give
support. Because payroll giving is tax free, every pound you give to
charity will actually only cost you 77 pence, if you pay tax at the
basic rate, or only 60 pence if you are a higher rate tax payer. You
can give up to £100 per month tax free.
