The starting point is at Holy Trinity Church, Dawley.
The Church as seen from the North (left) and from the South West.
The Church is sited within a parcel of land bordered by the A4169, the Ironbridge By-Pass, between the Castlefields and Jiggers Roundabouts; the A5523 between the Jiggers and Horsehay Roundabouts; Bridge Road and Station Road from the Horsehay Roundabout to the Heath Hill Roundabout and the B4373 which completes the link to the Ironbridge By-Pass at the Castlefields roundabout.
There are alternative routes to the Church from the boundary roads.
The Church grounds abut Holly Road (from Little Dawley) to the South and Old Vicarage Road to the East.
The Church was built circa 1845 of sandstone and in perpendicular style with a West facing Bell Tower.
Stand with your back to the Bell Tower door and look to your left then the elevated position of the Church affords an excellent view of the surrounding countryside while the smoke emitting chimney stack of the Ironbridge Power Station at Buildwas should be visible.
There are six bells in the Tower and they are rung most Sunday mornings.

ringing.
The walk is described in three stages.
