THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTHMARTINS

Jim Hughes of the Lazy Saviours would also like to publicise his day job. He's one half of guitarist Dave Rotheray in the world's premier tribute to The Beautiful South and The Housemartins, namely The Beautiful Southmartins.

MARTIN NEWELL

Acclaimed as "The Greatest Living Englishman" - probably only a slight exaggeration - Martin Newell is a musician, poet and horticulturist. He crossed (garden) paths with the Lazy Saviours when they were asked to contribute the track Drowning Butterflies to his tribute album ReNewell.

P.S. the Lazy Saviours were called "Owls In The Moss" back then but don't worry about that

REVOLUTION ON THE HEAD

For those Beatleoligists amongst you who thought that Ian McDonald's acclaimed Revolution In The Head* carried with it a whiff of unassailabilty, Chartstuff present Revolution On The Head the story of the Beatles' haircuts!

P.S. we prefer Walter Everett's The Beatles As Musicians anyway

CONSEQUENCES

'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.' R.G.Ingersoll, 1833-1899

'The pinnacle of analogue recording.' S. Macreavy

Paul McNulty of the Lazy Saviours has long been a fan of the Lol Creme / Kevin Godley / Peter Cook masterwork CONSEQUENCES. He explains why at Mr. Blint's Attic.

Just one piece of advice you might be able to use: SEVENTEEN
