Biography

The original "sensitive guy" rock n' roller (he invented the genre), Chas has been writing and performing his own music for quite some time now. In addition to "sensitive", he also does "deep-down rock n' roll dirty" but that's another story.

The music has been described as "memorable", "wistful" with "elements of both John Lennon and U2" (see Agraman City Life - Jan '96). Also "the acoustic ambience of his music is quite captivating" said the Bolton Evening News in December '97.

During a prolific patch in the mid 90's Manchester scene other reviews compared him to John Renbourn, Roy Orbison and latterly it's been Al Stewart and Nick Drake! Chas is hoping to make a comeback one-day as himself.

In the meantime he is still writing and playing, his latest work which will be taken from 25 new songs he claims will be his best to date.

So take some time out and listen to his songs to quote City Life in 1993 they ' float on a wave of acoustic escapism'.
