Its collection highlights historic local families and displays objects and images associated with local trades and schools. In particular it houses a fine collection of agricultural tools and a working church turret clock. It also provides a reference section containing books and audio-visual materials relating to the local area. There is a Bee Trail and other activities for younger visitors.
