Just to set the scene...
I used to have a layout many years ago and always said to family that i would one day like to start again. Well.. being stuck for Christmas pressent in 2002 the wife and daughter bought me the Hornby Flying Scotsman set.
I have now got a 8' by 5' (now 5' 3"to get curves in which is hinged to the wall of the spare room.) I have just completed a double track mainline with station pullins and four storage sidings with an elevated branch line . I have acquired a box of miscellaneous bits from a work colleague which has a Hornby LMS 8F and small 0-4-0 shutter and 6 LNER Teak coaches and assorted trucks. I am a near scale modeller and am of the 'If it looks good ' brigade. I am not a 'rivet counter '!! LISSETT PARK ...well i live in LISSETT Close (named after a wartime RAF airfield in North Lincolnshire) on the Doddington PARK estate (all roads named after airfields) and the branchline will be called DODDINGTON.
