News must have got out that the Sevier brothers had purchased this Silver Ghost and the local newspaper, the Derby Evening Telegraph, ran this small article on the even once 54RM had been transported from Glasgow, Scotland to Wilkinsons at Friargate Station, Derby.

The full transcript of the text is given below:

Two brothers, sons of Derby solicitor Mr. Alfred Sevier, have bought a 1924 Derby-built Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, and are carrying out
a restoration of the car over the next three years. Mr. Rex Sevier (pictured above with the car) and Mr. Roy Sevier advertised for a
vintage Rolls-Royce in a motoring journal, and the next day had a reply from Scotland, the owner, who lived at Bellshill, near Glasgow,
saying he had a Silver Ghost hearse, which was standing in his orchard. WAS ONCE SALOON Mr. Rex Sevier went by air from Derby to Glasgow
to inspect the car, which was sent by rail to Friargate Station. The coachwork was originally saloon but was converted to hearse, and
the Sevier brothers are having it converted back to saloon by a Derby firm. Three years ago a Crieff firm of undertakers was using the
car regularly, and the engine was last started a year ago. It is believed to be one of the last Silver Ghosts made. It had a 71/2 litre
engine of six cylinder, with dual ignition. Basically it is in sound condition, but total cost of the car, including restoration is
expected to be around £5000. Two problems arise with the car (in hearse form it is 17ft. 6ins. long and 6ft. 8ins. high). The brothers
are looking for a suitable place to carry out work on the vehicle and they are also seeking a mascot, which could cost anything up to £20.
