Welcome to the home of the 24 Handy Diagrams. If you came here hoping to find a website filled with diagrams showing you things like how to fix your car or how your microwave works, then I am afraid this website will disappoint you. In this case, you should go here or here. However, if you are looking for the acclaimed Handy Diagrams which update you on the plot of popular US drama series 24, then you are at the right place. ('Acclaimed' being a term I use relative to the Second World War).

The menu to the left contains all the Handy Diagrams available as well as extra features, which are of interest to nobody. Season One Diagrams are currently being produced at the approximate rate of one every whenever I feel like it; Season Two and Three diagrams are all completed and uploaded, as you can see on the menu at the left-hand side.

Updates

21/2/05 - The Handy Diagram for season 4 episode 2 (8am - 9am) is now up. That's now all the episodes I've seen until an unspecified time in the future when I catch up with Sky One in one big chunk, then I suppose I might do some more, if you're very very lucky.

14/2/05 - If you've bookmarked the BT Internet address for this site (and I like to think that someone has bookmarked this site), you won't be getting the updates at the moment. You should change it for the main address (www.24-handydiagrams.vze.com) or else to handydiagrams.take24.co.uk. Of course, if you are using the BT Internet address, you won't be able to see this update, but at least if you do ever stumble onto one of the updating addresses, you'll know exactly why you weren't getting the new updates.

7/2/05 - A new season of diagrams has arrived! Season 4 episode 1 (7am - 8am) is uploaded. Click in the drop-down menu on the sidebar.

27/1/05 - Just three days before the new series begins on Sky One (and, uh, Sky Travel,) the tenth season 1 diagram is here.

14/1/05 - I've altered the design of the sidebar slightly, replacing the lists of links with fancy drop-down menus in order to make space for the new season (which has a menu though no diagrams yet so I wouldn't bother clicking there if I were you). Simply select the diagram you want to see from the menu to be taken to it.

9/1/05 - The first Handy Diagram of the year two thousand and five is here! Episode 9 of season 1 (8am - 9am) is available on the sidebar. As regards season 4, the diagram for the two-hour premiere (or diagrams; I haven't decided yet,) should be around fairly soon after the episode airs on Sky (Sunday 30). Subsequent diagrams, however, might not be forthcoming for some time thereafter.

30/12/04 - Episode eight of seaon 1 (7am - 8am) is now diagrammed.

22/12/04 - Yes! It's true! The season 1 Handy Diagrams are back. Here's the diagram for the seventh episode (6am - 7am), just in time for Christmas. What relevance the proximity of this particular holiday has I'm not sure, but there you go. I also bring your attention to the new Special Feature, and the uncovering of what will surely prove to be a national scandal, in wallpaper form.

6/11/04 - This is another one of those non-update updates to reassure the legions of Handy Diagram fans that I know must be around somewhere, that despite all evidence to the contrary, the site isn't in fact dead, even though there have been no updates for weeks and aren't likely to be for a while yet. But I promise season 1 handy diagrams will return around Christmas time.

16/9/04 - The sixth episode (5am - 6am) of series 1 is done.

14/9/04 - The episode 5 (4am - 5am) diagram is now up.

11/9/04 - One-sixth of the first season is now diagrammed for your convenience, with the fourth one (3am - 4am) now complete.

7/9/04 - After a lengthy period of doing nothing, here is the Season 1 Episode 3 diagram (2am - 3am). Perhaps the only thing harder than deciding whether to label people Good or Suspicious or Evil, when you don't know how they'll turn out, is deciding whether to label them Good or Suspicious or Evil, when you know exactly how they'll turn out but have to pretend you don't. I've done my best.

19/8/04 - The advantage of doing Season One diagrams so long after they aired is, of course, that I have them all on DVD and so don't have to wait a week between each one. So here's the episode two Handy Diagram.

17/8/04 - Well, I have finally caved in to the constant pressure and started producing Season One Handy Diagrams. So please find on the menu to the left, the diagram for the pilot episode of 24. Further ones will appear at random times through the coming weeks and months, and will hopefully be considerably funnier.

16/8/04 - Two brand new products have been added to the Handy Diagrams Shop: a new mug design, and for all you Americans, something called a 'license-plate frame', which I gather goes round the number plate on your car.

5/8/04 - If you know what's good for you, you'll go and join the brand new Yusuf Auda Fanlisting, which is dedicated to upholding the greatness of the best 24 character ever, and is a proud affiliate of 24 – Handy Diagrams.

31/7/04 - Several thrilling new items have been added to the Handy Diagrams Shop, including fantastic Moral Status T-Shirts, with which to classify your friends (and enemies) as Good, Suspicious, Evil, or (if you happen to be friends with Nina Myers,) Evil Incarnate. Also, a mug. And I relegated some of the ridiculously long trail of updates into their own little previous updates page.

26/7/04 - I have revised and updated the pilgrimage feature, so if you haven't read it yet: lucky you! You were smart enough to wait for the new version, and can now read it in all itsslightly-expanded glory. If you have read it already, you'll damn well read it again.

23/7/04 - Hurrah! Handy Diagram 24 (12pm - 1pm) is upon us!

22/7/04 - The last Special Feature during this run of 24 is here, and very exciting it is too. Prepare yourselves for some thrilling Bill Bryson-esque travel writing as I report on my pilgrimage to the site of the very first Handy Diagram, made over nine hundred years ago. Click the link in the Features column at left to read it, then don't forget to e-mail me at paul.a.taylor@gmail.com to tell me to stick to the silly pictures.

18/7/04 - The penultimate Handy Diagram of Season 3 is now available (11am - 12pm). Oh, and if no one buys a t-shirt in the next week, I'm not making a Diagram for the finalé. (The preceding sentence was a lie.)

9/7/04 - Mere hours after broadcast, the Handy Diagram for the antipenultimate episode (10am - 11am) is here. Also, check out the brand new Handy Diagrams Shop, where you can purchase, er... a t-shirt. But more exclusive merchandise will follow! Honest!

6/7/04 - Handy Diagram 21 (9am - 10am) is up.

30/6/04 - Handy Diagram 20 (8am - 9am) is here.

22/6/04 - Handy Diagrams are now up for episodes 18 and 19 (6am - 8am), making the site contemporary to Sky One for the first time in several weeks. Hurrah!

21/6/04 - I have a new fancy-pants GMail account, at paul.a.taylor@gmail.com. So use that to e-mail me. I mean, only if you were going to anyway — I don't expect you to send me e-mail just because I have a new address. Though if you did, it wouldn't matter, because I have one gigabyte of storage space for it to go in.

20/6/04 - The Handy Diagram for episode 17 (5am - 6am) is now available. So avail yourself of it.

17/6/04 - Handy Diagram 16 (4am - 5am) is here.

16/6/04 - After a short delay, the Handy Diagrams are back! The Diagram for episode fifteen (3am - 4am) is up, with the next four hopefully following in quick succession. Also, why not give the nice people over at Numb Magazine, who were nice enough to link to me in their 'Trawler' links section, a visit?

Previous updates...

We here at 24 – Handy Diagrams (that is to say, me) are proud to be affiliated with the good people over at Almeida Is God, the Internet's premiere Tony Almeida fansite, and a place you should all visit. And we don't at all begrudge them the fact that they're several places higher than us in both the Top 24 Sites lists. Also, Almeda Is God run a Yusuf fanlisting that needless to say, 24 – Handy Diagrams is also affiliated with. You can find the links in the little row of buttons accumulating just below.
