Oh my... |

|
The author has specifically requested that I refer to her simply as 'Lucy' - there's nothing simple about her work, though. She writes with a refreshingly original angle on the world and the results are often quite breathtaking. I particularly like this piece - its one I can relate to. I'm really hoping that, in time, I'll be allowed to include one or two other pieces which have managed to challenge me, make me think, or make me laugh. "Don't ever stop writing Lucy - you are truly a breath of fresh air." - Chris -x- Oh my... Your smile frightens me I'm
not supposed to know someone with
that kind of mouth. You
are the kind of girl, I
would see smiling by a window, and
be afraid to take a second look for
fear you would see me, and
think I was strange. Fear
you would see me and
turn away. The
way your lips wrap around your teeth the
largeness of it all and
how it could never be, how
your smile isn't
for me. It's
meant for someone tall, and
gorgeous, and deep, serene, fresh
smelling, and fragile. You
are the kind of girl, that
before having seen it, I
would never have known that
your smile would frighten me so. © Lucy – Feb 2001 |
