This piece is a real
favourite of mine, I love the pace, the rhythm and the message.
The writer, PandoraX
is a close chat-friend of mine and I am proud to know her and count her
amongst my friends. Read it a few times, and you'll admire it more with
each read:-
The
bonds that hold me are not steel
nor are they made of chains
I am not held against my will
Confused? Let me explain.
These bonds are like a spiders web
They wrap and then enmesh
They're the strands of hope, friendship and love
The things we can't forget.
They wind themselves around our heart
Life's cup to overflowing
The type of bonds our heart seeks for
Sometimes not even knowing.
Silken bonds you can not break
Without the shed of tears
The type of bonds to be held close
And shared through life's short years.
No distance, time or space
can remove these silken bonds
Once in place they take a hold
They're there your whole life long.
