Browsing

• Quick Launch speeds start-up time so you get online faster than ever before.
  
• Tabbed Browsing in Netscape 7.1 lets you keep track of multiple sites or pages at once by letting you view them within a single browser window. You can easily click between pages using a tabbed interface. Tabs load in the background so you can browse the Web faster-and stay organized. To use Tabbed Browsing, click on the Tab icon in the left hand corner next to the first Tab or right mouse click on a tab or go to the File menu and choose New Navigator Tab. You can also open hypertext links within a new tab by right clicking on the link.
  
• Bookmark This Group of Tabs lets you save a group of Tabs as a bookmark so that you can later revisit this group of sites as you would a bookmark of one site.
  
• Home Tabbed Pages is a group of tabs that can easily be set for your home page experience so each time you launch the browser you see several tabbed pages within a single screen. This is an optional feature that can be setup within Netscape 7.1 Preferences under the Edit menu.
  
• Web Site Icons let you easily keep track of where you are on the web. These icons are shown in the URL field and are also handy within Tabbed Browsing.

• Full Screen Mode lets you see more of a web page when you need to and maximize screen space. This is great for viewing web content on laptops or smaller desktop screens.
  
• Popup Controls is an optional feature that lets you determine how various web sites send you popups. (Popups are small windows that are served by various web sites.) The feature must be turned on from within Netscape 7.1 Preferences. Additional settings in Preferences give you personalized control so you can "allow" or "supress" popups by individual web site.
  

• Click-to-Search lets you easily start a web search on any word in a web page without having to leave the page. Simply select the word with your mouse, right-click and choose Web Search for that word. The results appear in a separate browser window and also in My Sidebar.
  
• My Sidebar Search Tooltips let you see more information about search results within the Search Sidebar. Less scrolling and fewer back button clicks mean faster searches.

• Download multiple files at once and reliably pause and resume a download if your Internet connection is interrupted or you need to use your connection to make a phone call.

• Download Manager keeps track of all your downloads from one place. View information on the status of your download, percentage complete, download location, source, time remaining and more.
  
• Save a complete web page --what used to take several steps to download and save a complete web page, now takes only one. In a single action, save a page with all of its graphics files (GIFs and JPEGs). No need to individually download each file to capture all the content on the page.

One-Button Publishing lets you easily save web documents created in Composer to a server of your choice in just a few clicks.

• Netscape Mail is a powerful and complete tool you can rely on to manage email the way you want.
  
• Enhanced Mail Performance, makes Netscape 7.1 Netscape's fastest e-mail product ever.
  
• Quick Search lets you find an e-mail address or message within your e-mail inbox lightning-fast. Type only a few letters in the Quick Search field, and matching results come up based on the subject line or sender-instantly.
  Like Quick Search in Mail, Quick Search in Address Book locates a name instantly without needless scrolling.
  
• Mail Alerts give discreet notification of new e-mail messages in your computer's system tray-even if you don't have Netscape open on your desktop.
  
• Mail Labels let you organize your inbox or folders with color and categories that you set, such as "ASAP", "To Do", "Personal", or a project name. You can then sort by Label to help you prioritize or find a message.
  
• Easy Mail Filter Set-up offers an easy and personalized way to organize incoming e-mail or quickly send spam messages to the trash.
