St. Hilda's is a small church situated on Cowcliffe Hill, high above north Huddersfield. Built in 1850 originally as a Church School, the building was 150 years old in November 2000.

This is a family & friendly church catering for all ages. The core Sunday congregation averages 30 persons. Christmas Christingle attracts 120 people. The electoral role numbers 81.

Services are 10.30am for Family Communion on all Sundays except 4th Sunday which is a modern family praise service.

Patterns of worship follow the new Common Worship. The style of worship is a mix between Traditional and Contemporary with some modern music alongside traditional hymns. The worship also embraces modern presentation styles using Audio Visual aids and video projection.

St Hilda's completed the Wakefield Ministry Scheme (WMS) and are proactive in developing towards being a community church at the heart of the local urban village.

We have an active children's groups called Minnows which cater for  young children 4-8.

START at St Hilda's
St. Hilda's is the main home of the
Alpha Course  when running within the parish.We often run the shorter START course for those wishing to know the basic of the Christian faith

Ladies Fellowship Group . St. Hilda's Ladies Friendship group is open to all ladies in the parish including non-church members and meets 1st Monday each month. Current membership exceeds 30.

St Hilda's Luncheon Club. The Luncheon Club meets Wednesdays at 12.00pm for lunch and social interaction and caters mainly for senior citizens. Modern kitchen facilities are available.
