Christopher has been a professional artist for most of his working life. After attending Art College at Hastings and then Brighton, he spent five years in the Army (following a family tradition), before returning to the art world.

His work covers a wide range of subjects from military, to portraits pets and caricatures. He works in watercolour and feels this a better medium for depicting the fine detail and total accuracy for which he is well known.  

Among many commissions have been those for the British Forces, USA, Canada and the Sultan of Oman's Forces, to name but a few. He is also the only artist to emblazon, as a profession, the drums of British and overseas forces, and has emblazoned the drums of practically every regiment and corps of the British Army, (he has for some years signed every drum).

This work is carried out in oil colours and 23ct Gold leaf. He is the leading authority on the painting of drums past and present.
