PERSONAL PAGE

Hello, let me introduce myself, Christopher Rainbow, if you already know me then you can skip the notes which follow.

I confess to have seen my fiftieth birthday, but I hope that I am not too middle aged in outlook.

I am single. I suppose my main interests are my house and garden, both of which are quite large.

I like a pint of beer, and I enjoy time in the local pub.

I enjoy music and have a collection of musical instruments, which I play badly.

Living in the Scottish Borders, there are ample opportunities for hill walking and mountain biking. The Cheviot Hills are close by as is the vast Keilder Forest which is ideal for mountain biking. The Lake District and the higher Scottish mountains are accessible.

On the subject of bicycles, there are links to other pages on this site, but in case you cannot be bothered to follow the links I’ll tell you about my bicycles now. Apart from mountain bikes, I have an elderly but reliable touring bike, a vintage delivery bike complete with wicker basket and a modern heavy duty tandem part of a fleet of tandems and mountain bikes available for hire.

My two wheel fleet is topped off with a motor bike. I cannot justify the motor bike on any grounds other than personal enjoyment.

I used to be employed in the farm machinery business. However it is an industry that has seen necessary restructuring. I was made redundant a couple of times and I have now turned my back on the industry.

Now my living is made as a part time work as a postman, bike hire and anything else that comes along. Not a bad life really.
