These are the alterations undertaken at Manymead during 2007. The work started at the beginning of March. The plans were to build a two room extension at the front of the property and completely refurbish the rest of the house and gardens in order to accommodate Granny Pat and Steve.
Whilst April was one of the hottest and driest for many years the weather during May, June and July was amongst the wettest summers on record. Progress was steady and fortunately at the end of July the weather although not good was sufficiently pleasant for some important roofing work to be done
Of course whilst the builders are making a mess the inside needs to be decorated and made good. The two links opposite will show you some of the work and results
