The Front Entrance

It seemed to us that it was appropriate to at least try to retain some of the "Victorian" character of Manymead even though over the years it had been much altered. However in it's day it had been one of the main house in the area and was originally the lodge for the local estate. Because of the alterations we were undertaking it gave us the opportunity to have a large entrance hall and as such the opportunity to make the entrance porch to Manymead an interesting experience, (hopefully!) and in character with the original building. Luke Parker one of the builders undertook the project and this is a record of his labours. (November 2007)
