Re~Cycle is a Colchester based charity whose mission is to collect secondhand bicycles and ship them to Africa. If you're in Ipswich and would like to donate a bike Ipswich Bicycle Doctor  would be happy take it on his next run.



CTC logoThe CTC is Britain's largest and longest established cycling organisation. It provides legal, insurance, technical and touring services to its 66,000 members and affiliates, has 200 local groups providing some 12,000 rides and events annually for all ages and abilities, and campaigns for better conditions for both leisure and utility cyclists, whether they ride on or off road. The CTC Suffolk District Association  is the local branch of the CTC.
APBUG is affilliated to CTC which provides various benefits including

The BUG is affiliated to ATLAS. BUG members are encouraged to join.
 

Cycle-Ipswich  - Formerly Ipswich Cycle Campaign. Promotes cycling in Ipswich. Campaigns for better facilities and aims to ensure cycling is treated as a primary transport mode.  Operates a Google email group
Cycle-Ipswich Google Group with many active emebers including  Suffolk County Council officers and elected council members.

Ipswich Bicycle Club - A racing club covering time-trials, cyclo-cross, road racing and mountain bike racing. 

Plomesgate Cycle Club- A racing club specialising in time-trials, with a social side too.

Ipswich Triathlon Club - A local triathletes club with a lot of good contacts.
