Vi's For Sale.

DISCLAIMER:

Although I have done my best to refine the searches on these links, they are still not as accurate as I would like them to be. This is mostly because of some desperate sellers listing their normal mediocre Rover 200's with 1.1, 1.4, 1.6, standard 1.8 (none VVC) or diesel engines as Vi's This is a shame because it is like comparing a 1.3 Ford Escort with a RS2000. These people must be waiting for some idiot to come along that is desperate for a Vi but doesn't know how to recognise one from a standard Rover 200. To help those who are new to the model, I've assembled a 8 point checklist so you can be sure you are not being conned. So Vi's differ from hum drum Rover 200's in the following ways:

1. Colour Coded Spoiler On The Tailgate (not plain black plastic). 2. All round disk breaks (normal 200's have drum rear breaks). 3. Rover 5 spoke 15 inch alloys. 4. Black leather seats with red piping (on later models) or two tone dark and light grey cloth sport seats on earlier versions. 5. Vi's have a different standard, wider bore exhaust than normal 200's, with a chrome tailpipe. 6.The badge on the right of the tailgate should be a full '200Vi' badge as in this website's logo - not just 200. 7. The engine is clearly labelled as 'VVC'. 8. The speedometer goes up to 150mph - not just 130mph as in normal 200's. 9. Finally, check the 'Vi Pictures' & 'Other Vi's' sections on this site to familiarise yourself with these features before you buy.
