LADWACA was formed in 1956 to safeguard the interests of wildfowl and wildfowlers in Langstone Harbour, which is situated in southeast Hampshire.
The Association leases and manages a large acreage within the bounds of the harbour, much of which is designated as un-shot refuge areas. Members are thus still able to participate in the traditional sport of wildfowling, even in this densely populated area of the country.
Langstone Harbour is home to large numbers of wintering wildfowl and waders, and is, together with neighbouring Chichester Harbour, one of the major wintering resorts on the south coast for both quarry and non-quarry species.
Association members are justly proud of their sporting heritage and will continue to fight to preserve both the sport and the environment in which it is pursued.
