Wayzgoose..

.............a printers' annual feast or outing

The jolly Wayzgoose boys were guity of following in the footsteps of Bill Caxton, the famous putter of ink on paper. In days long past printers would treat their workers to a slap-up dinner once a year, so the annual wayzgoose was a prime event in their calendar. We like to think of our dances as mini wayzgooses, and if there is any food forthcoming....all the better! Times have changed and the lads have migrated to the construction industry, apart from Richard who does something to do with education...whatever that is.
