Our
training takes place through a number of programmes:
Horticulture
the maintenance and development of the grounds both as an accessible
leisure environment and the production of organic food and plants.
Catering and customer service
all aspects of the delivery of a catering service to the general
public.
Maintenance and cleaning the Centre
upkeep of the Centre and preparing the residential facilities for
incoming groups. This particular training assists clients with learning
difficulties to acquire skills needed for independent living.
Art
There are a number of in-situ permanent art features, both inside
the Centre and throughout the grounds. These have been created by
visiting groups working with local artists, and have been designed
to be appreciated by people with a range of abilities.
Staff Development Days
using our partners to deliver a high quality service to match the
needs and aspirations of organisations.
IT and Skills training
The provision of accredited I.T. training aimed at groups within
our local community who are disadvantaged or suffer from a learning
disability, or simply with an interest in I.T.
Digital Media Learn More
We are able to offer training in all aspects of the media from producing
and script writing to filming and editing film. This project is
for people of all ages to acquire new skills, to develop media projects
about the environment in which they live, or to promote issues that
are important to them.
Staff/Volunteer Development Days
The
aims of our development days are to enable organisations:
To build & strengthen relationships.
To develop greater awareness and understanding of each others
needs and how team members can support each other more effectively
to achieve common goals.
To motivate each other.
To create a better understanding of different roles and positions
within an organisation.
There
is no prescriptive programme on the Development Days and the programme
can be tailored to suit the groups requirements.
We work closely to ensure that the needs of the organisations are
met to the full.
