The Coldwell Inn Project commenced in 1985 to convert an 18th Century building into an Activity Centre for young people. Principally from the surrounding areas of Burnley & Pendle. Today, visitors from near and far can benefit from the work of the charity. We specialise in providing holidays for young people, perhaps with a disability or from a disadvantaged background. Our work is assisted by young people under the supervision of the Lancashire Probation Service. We have Tea Room facilities for use by the general public, who can enjoy a leisurely snack whilst overlooking tremendous scenery. A new facility in 2004 is our Children's Adventure Play Area. For use by visitors to the Tea Room. In April 2004 we opened a Digital Media Suite. A new facility in 2003 was our private Meeting Room/Training Room ideal for a small group to get away from it all. A further new facility in 2003 was our IT Suite where specialised IT training is now available. We are heavily involved in the Community Cohesion Project (learn more) and look forward to its further development. Naturally, we are always seeking volunteers, donations and assistance from as many sources as possible. If you feel that you can help or know someone that can, do please contact us. We look forward to seeing you at Coldwell. Roy G Glover - Chairman, Coldwell Activity Centre Registered Charity No. 701170 Managed by - Coldwell Inn Project |
