| The set was good,
with excellent attention to detail. Tony O'Leary (as Pop) gave
us all the warmth and niceness of the character. Ma was beautifully
played by Debi Daw. She drove the action along, a complete and
highly entertaining performance. Kirstin Tozer (Mariette) was
also very good. Relaxed with a lovely smile, she fitted the
character perfectly. |

In the second
half there were wonderful cameos from some of the group’s other
front line players. Catherine Kenny as a sparkling Miss Pilchester,
Edwina Bicker as a rather naughty Angela Snow, David Sheridan
as the Brigadier, Richard Pilborough as the Tax Inspector and
Roger Still as Sir George. All were great fun. |
| The group must
be congratulated on giving three very promising newcomers parts.
Matthew Wright as Mr Charlton, Ruth Emberley as Pauline and
Stephanie Dawson as a lady. Music, lights and technical teams
helped in giving the whole show a happy ending.
