A MONTH OF SUNDAYS
a comedy
by Bob Larbey
The Willington Players' performance at the Hazlitt depended on David Sheridan's understanding touch and timing in the demanding role of Cooper. He had to make us feel sympathetic, angry, amused ... and he came up trumps. There were many touching moments in his relationships with his nurse (Jools Davidson), cleaner (Debi Mason), fellow resident (Tony Dunne), daughter (Nic Grint) and son-in-law (David Armough Chelu). The fate facing many reaching old age could have made for a depressing show. Punches were not pulled but there were many uplifting moments revealing a lively brain can still ensure high quality of life.
