Mvumi news August 2005
The following text and links are extracts from the Newsletter for The Society of Friends of Mvumi Hospital for August 2005.

Letter from the Secretary of The Friends of Mvumi Dear Friends This newsletter has a real focus on people. We have two obituaries about people who have worked in Mvumi. There is an article from a medical student who keeps going back to Mvumi. There is an update on the Robert Atkinson Memorial Training Fund, and news about one of the students who has been sponsored through Friends of Mvumi. And finally there is news of the AIDS care program that is being set up. This is the real strength of the society. While the Make Poverty History campaign searches to change the way things work on a global scale, through Friends of Mvumi we can know people’s names, hear their stories, and follow the life of a hospital that seeks to provide healthcare in a place so different to ours. Yours David McKelvey |
