We sincerely thank those who have helped or would like to help Mvumi Hospital by making a donation of equipment, money or time to hospital or The Friends of Mvumi. In recent years your donations have provided the means to build the Central Sterile Supplies Unit, to buy a new hospital lorry, to begin the renovation of the hospital water system and have subsidised medical treatment and provision of food during the famine in 1997/1998. Without these contributions suffering would undoubtedly have been greater and many could have died. On a day to day basis your contributions help nurses in their training, subsidise salaries so that the hospital can attract qualified medical staff and provide drugs and equipment which could not be afforded otherwise. Your contribution may seem like a drop in the ocean, but everyday patients leave the hospital who, without your help, might have died or been disabled for life.
