Joining with PayPal

Our preferred method for you to join the AFBC is for you to send us a cheque or postal order in British Pounds (Sterling) via the postal system. If you are able to do this please click here and follow the instructions. It will be easiest for us.

If for some reason you are unable to join by sending us a cheque or postal order in British Pounds then you can send your payment in UK Sterling or US Dollars using PayPal. It is important that you follow these rules though.

Make your PayPal payment in U.K. Pounds or U.S. Dollars to the AFBC Chairman Keith Wilkinson. No other currencies are acceptable for PayPal payments. Use the "personal payment" method and mark it as a "gift".

State in your payment that it is for AFBC membership, and the time span of the required membership.

Make sure your address registered with PayPal is correct. This information will be used to print your newsletter address labels, and will appear in the new members section of the newsletter.

List your badge collecting interests in the 'Message to Seller' PayPal section. This information will appear in the new members section of the newsletter.

State whether you are happy for your e-mail address to be shared with other members in the newsletter - do this in the 'Message to Seller' section.

State what your phone number is if you are happy for it to be shared with other members in the newsletter - do this in the 'Message to Seller' section.

The membership fees in U.S. Dollars are not open to negotiation. The fee stated here is what you need to pay regardless of any fluctuation in currency exchange rates. 2012 AFBC membership fees are as follows:-

£10 for UK juniors (under 16)

£25 for UK adults

£35 for anyone with a European address

£40 or $80 for anyone with an address outside of Europe

Membership normally runs from January 1st to December 31st, but fees reduce by 25% in April, 50% in July and 75% in October. If joining from April 2012 onwards please adjust the fees paid accordingly.
