Your views on the following topics would be much appreciated. Should the proposed re-union be in 2004, 2005, 2006. Should it be held on the same weekend as the National Annual Dinner, if not, what time of the year would you prefer. Should it be held in Menai Bridge, Birkenhead, Liverpool, London, Portsmouth or somewhere else.
Should it be just a single night with a formal dinner or should it span several days and include organised visits to Plas Newydd, Conway Chapel, the Mizzen mast at Birkenhead. Please submit your views and opinions on these or any other subject relating to the re-union

North Wales is an obvious alternative for a reunion - ideally in the area of The Menai Straits.

I visited the school grounds in June of last year and based on that experience I would strongly suggest that we meet in Menai and visit Plas Newydd, now an outwardbound school,to stir up the memories of those happy days we spent together.
For those of us who are not retired and may have to travel from overseas I would suggest that one day and one night would probably be acceptable.
Also the school grounds looked wonderful in the month of June......so perhaps a summer meeting rather than a winter meeting.
Thanks to Bob and Geoff for tracking us down!!

I believe that we should plan to have the re-union of '56 QB's at Menai Bridge or near there in 2004.
The Gazelle is a possibility, but I was informed in 2001, when we sailed through the Menai Strait, that it had gone downhill in recent times.
I would like to suggest that early in the month of June is a good time of the year.
A visit to the school at Plas Newyd should be on the itinerary, plus the chance to meet up with all our ex-dancing partners from Bangor!
For those who have a little time to spare, a visit to the Prioy at Birkenhead would, I'm sure, be enjoyed, and this could possibly be coordinated with the attendance of one of the regular Mersyside meeting of ex-Conway's.

This is a great idea. I would agree with others that Plas Newydd, Anglesey etc is a good venue. I would not propose a formal dinner. I would prefer an informal lunch similar to the ones held by the OC NorthWest Branch. A visit to Plas Newydd could be either am or pm with a final get-together in the evening. For those who don't know, the Northwest Branch lunches are not held in June, July or August.
