Mini-leaflets for the learner who can hunt the treble to a touch and now wants to tackle the inside work.

So often, at a practice, I have scribbled some helpful notes onto a scrap of paper for a learner. Weeks later the same scrap of paper appears out of said learner's pocket, even more dog-eared. So I thought perhaps the time had come to do the job properly......

I have given some serious thought about to how to structure a series of stages for a learner who is just beginning either Grandsire or Plain Bob Doubles. Only the bare essentials, in small stages where there are no more than two new things to learn in each stage. I have tried to use simple and consistent wording. There are suggested exercises so the conductor can tailor the ringing to each specific stage for the learner.

A prototype leaflet has been pilotted and the first few of my learners have now mastered the methods. Here is version 2, a couple of pretty little handwritten mini-leaflets. Grandsire is Green and Plain Bob is Pink. The 400 I took to the Roadshow went like hot cakes!
