In the City Park, we found this most unusual aluminium bell. It had no clapper. If it had been entire and in bell metal one might have hazarded its weight as 4cwt.
There was a small inscription in Hungarian, mostly peoples names, incised around just inside the lip, which I copied down on a bit of paper temporarily mislaid. |
