Luxembourg

Would you believe it! We took a Ramblers Holiday to Monschau (in the Eifel region of Germany) and Clervaux in Luxembourg recently. The leader turned out to be a ringer, as did one other lady in the party. Pity the only bell we got near was definitely not hung for ringing! However there were plenty of bells to be heard - chimes, tunes, clocks, random continental clanging from several churches and monasteries. At Clervaux a couple of minutes of tolling on several bells at 7.20am every day made a pleasant alarm clock.

Uninscribed circa 9cwt bell outside the Convent at Cinqfontaines.
