There is a national list of plants considered threatened in Britain and subject to special conservation measures. 53 of these have been recorded in Warwickshire but only 11 of these are still to be found as natives. Extant native species are shown in red print in the list below. These should be prime subjects for conservation effort in Warwickshire.

The figures 1,2,3,4 and 5 in the green columns are as used in Stace's Vice-comital Flora to describe the status of the plant in Warwickshire i.e. 1 native, 2 introduced, 3 casual and 4 extinct, 5 extant. These are summarised in the first, small, table below. This totals 55 but two species appear in two different categories.
