THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE - PLEASE DO NOT TAKE CARS DOWN THE DRIVEWAY.PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, could we remind all parents and players that they should not park or "drop off" on the bottom car park at Belgrave High School but to use either the top car park or indeed the large space available round the back of the school buildings to the right as you drive in which you can access by following the drive in, turning right when you get to the school building in front of you, and then turn right again immediately before the fence. Please leave all access areas open at all times. No one should park on any of the grassed areas on the school premises as they are likely to cause damage to these areas. Your help in this matter is much appreciated. This is a safety issue, if we continue to have cars travelling up and down the driveway and parking down there with lots of young children running around, there will be an accident

Unfortunately, on Sunday 9th May, there were cars parked on the bottom car park that should not have been there. We had to call an ambulance and if there had been one more car down there, the ambulance would not have been able to get through. No one, other than home team managers are allowed to park on the bottom car park. If people continue to flout this club rule then further action will have to be taken!

Please note that it is a County Council directive that no dogs are allowed on school property, therefore could I ask that no dogs are brought down to Belgrave High School at any time, thank you.

News In Brief (see the news page for detail):

CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) provides a wealth of information and advice to kids and parents alike about staying safe online/mobile phones etc and provides a dedicated Reporting Abuse team, who will and do follow up reported incidents of abuse etc. I actually use material from this organisation via their 'thinkyouknow' spin off site, when doing School assemblies. Take a look a the website here.

03/10/2011 - The FA have released a series of new documents offering guidance with regard to social networking, websites, mobile phones and email communications. Please take a look here.

18/09/2011 - Two goals from Ben Carter highlighted the Men's 1st Team's good win and goals from Alex Fallon and Kieron Cherrie saw the Reserves also win. Goals from James Jenkinson, Joe Carney, harry Chapman and Liam Leach saw the Under 15 Rangers also gain a good win today. Most Recent Results

17/09/2011 - A hat-trick from Matthew Smart and 2 goals from Mackenzie Morton highlighted a good Under 8 United performance and 2 goals from Archie Breakwell and Harry Eddington saw the same for the Under 8 FC team. Two goals from Thomas Oomer and Max Ellis saw the Under 10 FC team gain a good win and goals from Harry Carrington and Liam Hodgetts saw the Under 10 Rangers team also win. Two goals from Kyle |Nutt saw the Under 12 FC gain a good win today as well. Most Recent Results

22/08/2011 - Tai Chisholm, a player from last year's very successful Under 11 FC team has signed a year's contract with Aston Villa. Congratulations Tai and well done to Richard Anstiss and Stuart Aubury who have been coaching him, a great accolade for them and the Club.

12/06/2011 - Twenty of the Club's coaches attended an In Service Training Day on Saturday hosted by Mark Philips from the FA who is the England Ladies goalkeeping coach and also coaches the outfield players of the Under 15 and Under 16 Development Squads. Mark spoke about what the FA are doing and got our coaches working, going through a number of warm up routines and also a number of other drills before moving on to some goalkeeping sessions. I'm sure our coaches enjoyed the informative sessions even though they had to work hard. A big thank you to all who attended and especially to Mark for giving up his time.

09/05/2011 - U9 FC played St John Santos on Saturday and only narrowly lost 3-2 on a very wet Saturday morning. A fine battling performance and goals from Caudell and Ellis made for a nail bighting finish. It’s testament to the team and the individuals, the progress made considering the first game of the season 11-0 result against the same team. To quote Sam Caudell “You get out what you put in” seems the FC have a motto!! A big thanks again to the parents for standing in the rain, I’m sure it was worth it!

U9 Rangers played in the Invitation Cup final on Sunday at Bolehall Swifts and accredited themselves well, despite the bumps, cuts and bruises they put everything into the game, but came up against a very strong Birch Coppice side and lost 3-0. But again great credit to the guys who have played the season with usually one or no substitutes and I think the energy sapping season and the size of the pitch in the end took it’s toll. But from the players, Jack, Connor and myself a huge thank you to the family, friends and other team players that turned up in numbers to support them, I know you must have been proud to see them. To show the quality and effort the lads put in it was with great pride that our own Sam Maynard secured ‘Man of the Match’ and I know we had a number of players in the team that came into consideration. Well done Sam!!!!

02/05/2011 - Congratulations to the Under 11 FC team who produced a very good performance to win the Major Cup with a last minute winner today in a very good game, well done Richard, Stuart and all the players.

03/01/2011 - Birmingham County FA has launched its new programme for young leaders in line with the FA's new "Football Futures" initiative. The aim of the Birmingham County Football Association (BCFA) 'Football Futures' programme is to support a selected number Young Leaders as they look to gain invaluable experience and knowledge through volunteering their time to work in football.
This can be achieved through volunteer placements at local Charter Standard Clubs, working at School Sports Partnership based Events and supporting BCFA run events.

For more information, follow this link:
http://www.birminghamfa.com/Development/Worksforce+Young+Leaders/Football+Futures/

Anyone interested, please contact Kevin Dyer 07719 831059 or Charlie Hembry 07903 939107.

20/12/2010 - The FA have changed the way we retain our FA Charter Standard Development status. We now have to complete an "Annual Health Check" whereby we have to show that all our officers and coaches have achieved and retained the necessary qualifications which are 95% complete with one or two courses to be completed. We, as a Club, also have to show we have the correct procedures and plans in place to maintain the safety of all those involved in the Club and to ensure that the Club continues to develop in a quality manner. This has taken a lot of time by a lot of people to complete the courses, coaching, first aid, child protection, etc, etc. My thanks to all those who have helped in getting this done.
Kevin Dyer, Hon Secretary.

26/11/2010 - Do you want to get involved in football or do you know someone who does? If so, take a look at this new website that the FA have set up, Your Game at: http://www.thefa.com/yourgame If you want to know anymore, please talk to your team's manager or email us at the email address below left on this page.

03/09/2010 - The Tamworth Junior League match report forms, match free date forms, player registration forms and Invitation Cup match report forms are now ready for download  from the Forms area below left.

22/05/2010 - The Under 18's team played their final match together against the Midland Floodlit Youth League Champions Atherstone Town. In a very good game in 80 degree heat, the lads put in a very good performance against a very good team. Although we lost, the lads can proud of themselves for a terrific performance capping a good season. I would like to thank every single one of you for your effort, commitment and loyalty that you have shown over the last 11 years. I am pleased and proud to have run this team with some terrific players and with some fantastic help from Alan, Tracey, Sean and Ryan. Over £360  was raised for the Acorns Trust taking the total in the last 4 years to around £2000 which is a fantastic achievement. Thank you all very much.

03/09/2009 - The Tamworth Junior League is now a Charter Standard League and all clubs associated with the League must adhere to and adopt the RESPECT campaign. This means that all Clubs must ensure they have a designated supporter's area which will normally run the entire length of one side of the pitch where both sets of both supporters will stand. Where possible, club officials and players will stand on the opposite side of the pitch. The supporter's area will use either Respect Barriers, ropes and poles, discs or spray-painted lines. Cottage Farm Rangers will be using the Respect Barriers. We ask that all supporter's adhere to these guidelines and continue with the good behaviour that this Club is known for. We hope you all have a good season.

13/06/2009 - Cottage Farm Rangers FC have been awarded one of the Birmingham County FA League Fair Play Awards for the 2008/9 season. The trophy was awarded at the County FA Awards Presentation at the Grassroots Football Live Show.

18/05/2009 - Despite the Youth team losing the match in what was a good game, the Acorns Trust charity will benefit as over £500 has been raised by the John Schofield Memorial Shield match yesterday which was won Atherstone Town Youth team.

02/05/2007 - The sum raised from Sunday's John Schofield memorial game now stands at an impressive £1,142 which included over 110 paying adults at the gate. Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed and helped. Some pictures from the game are available by following this link.

19/03/2007 - Congratulations to John Lewin, Stuart Aubury, Mark Livesey, Dominic Hinks and Jim Wright who have all passed their 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football course.

22/01/2007 - The F.A. has updated its guidelines regarding the taking of photographs and videos. See the Child Protection tab for details.

04/01/2007 - You may have seen the article on the front page of the Tamworth Herald regarding the new fire station potentially being sited on part of the paying fields at Belgrave High School. The plans as we understand them are that the fire station is going to be located where the Junior School pitches currently are so it should not affect our long term future at Belgrave. It could well be that some pitches may need to be moved around to fit things in and we may share pitches with the Junior School but that is all to be decided.

13/10/2006 - A small feature in this week's Tamworth Herald - Rangers are on the up - Cottage Farm Rangers Football Club are going from strength to strength with teams running from under-eights to under-15s level as well as girls teams.
The club also runs a very successful Football Development Centre for boys and girls aged between five-seven-years old,. The centre takes place in at Dosthill Boys Club in Cadogan Road in Dosthill every Friday between 5-6.45pm
The centre is run by qualified FA coaches who have been subject to CRB checks. For more information about the club, call Charlie Hembry on 07903 939107 or visit www.cfrfc.co.uk.

The Tamworth Junior League is now a Charter Standard League, one of the first in the country. As a member of a Charter Standard League, we will have to abide by some new rules concerning Spectator areas. Basically, all Tamworth Junior League matches will have to have designated Spectator areas on one side of the pitch, where possible, and the coaches and substitutes will stand on the other side of the pitch. The Spectator's side of the pitch will be cordoned off with either Respect Barriers, ropes & poles, a marked line or discs, approx 2 metres from the edge of the pitch.  As you are aware, Cottage Farm Rangers FC is a Charter Standard Development Club and we have been roping off the small-sided pitches for more than a year now. We will be changing our approach to fall in line with FA policy. Please take a moment to read the relevant Code of Conduct (on the left) and also the FA's Respect web pages (above).

14/09/2009 - Cottage Farm Rangers want to encourage as many of their Coaches, Players and Parents who have access to the internet to complete the on-line Soccer Parent course at Soccer Parents CourseAll of those people who complete the course will be able to print out a certificate, and we would like them to get in touch with us (use the Mail to link below left) to let us know, and we will include their name of the Roll Of Honour page. Soccer Parent Roll Of Honour.

05/09/2009 - Parents and coaches, please take time to read this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/6133062/Grass-roots-abuse-is-irreparably-damaging-the-fabric-of-football.html

22/06/2009 - RESPECT GUIDE FOR PARENTS. As part of its Respect programme, The FA has launched a new free Respect online parent guide - a replacement for Soccer Parent. The online module features film content to showcase unacceptable parental behaviour and its consequences on young players. There is also commentary from well-known and grassroots football figures, including Stuart Pearce and Howard Webb. Please use this link to access the Guide: http://www.thefa.com/respectguide/ We can add you name to our website to show that you have completed the course here

10/06/2009 - The Codes of Conduct have been updated to reflect the changes in these Codes from the FA. These are the new RESPECT Codes of Conduct and now include sanctions that could be used if poor practice occurs, either by the Club or by the County or the FA. Fortunately, the behaviour of our players, coaches, officials and supporters is normally very good and we want to ensure this continues, but please read the relevant Code of Conduct so that you know what is expected of you.

Abuse in Football

We are very fortunate at this club that we have very little trouble on the pitch caused by our players or indeed off the pitch caused by club officials or by supporters or spectators. We are very grateful to all of you for this and we want to keep it this way which we can do with your help.

Campaigns

Don't X The Line..........and...........Keep It Shut!.........and...........the FA has 3 pilot schemes

http://www.dontxthelinecampaign.com/
               http://www.totalyouthfootball.com/keepitshut/

The F.A. are launching three pilot schemes in nine regions across England from January.
These are:
1. Only the team captain will be allowed to speak with the referee.
2. Roped-off areas will be introduced at junior matches so 'over-indulgent or abusive' parents cannot easily abuse referees.
3. All players and club officials will be forced to sign a 'memorandum of understanding' thereby accepting to abide by the standards of behaviour that will be expected.

We, as a club, intend to rope off the Small-sided games initially as stated above in 2 which will also give the managers room to work as they will be the only people allowed pitch-side of the rope. We already have Codes of Conduct for Coaches, Players, Supporters and Team Officials alike as can be seen by following the links on the left of this page, so if we can all follow these, no matter how frustrated we get, and we do, then we can keep up our good record. Thank you for your support!
