Reports:

04/10/2003 - The scoreline sounds like this was another heavy defeat, but that does not the story. Against one of the best teams in the Midlands (they have won competitions all over the place), the Rangers put on a very hard-working, very dogged display against an excellent team. Before the lads had started warming up, it was obvious that they wanted to make up for last week's poor display, their attitude was tremendous. The fact that it was 25 minutes before Tamworth Pro scored, showed the determination, the commitment and the sheer hard work that the Rangers put in to this game. In fact, they came very close to snatching the lead. At half time, the score was only 1 - 0 and although the Rangers conceded 3 more, they never gave up, they continued to battle, and occasionally put a bit of pressure on the Tamworth defence. We asked for a performance from the lads and they gave us one. Now they have to show the same spirit, the same dedication, the same hard work, the same desire every week. Well done lads!           Man of the Match: Phil Barker

27/09/2003 - Not a very good display at all. The Rangers started off  very slowly and struggled to get in the game. It was no surprise when Overseal quickly took a two goal lead. Midway through the first half, Rangers made a change and suddenly dominated proceedings, hit the post and put Overseal under considerable pressure. They couldn't however get the breakthrough they needed and at that time deserved. Injuries early in  the second half forced changes to be made, but this cannot be used as an excuse, not enough players were committed enough and concentrating enough to get a result from this game. Some generally poor play and poor defending cost us another 3 goals. The Rangers can certainly play a lot better than this.            Man of the Match: Ben Chetwynd.

20/09/2003 - A better display today, and the result should probably have been different on the number and quailty of chances we missed. Early in the first half, we lost central defender Joshua Badger to an ankle injury, which meant a re-shuffle to the defence. Rangers went behind to a penalty but fought back well to equalize through a fine goal from Phil Barker made due to some good work by Eddie Poultney and Danny Nunnen. Before and after this, Rangers had some very good chances to have swung the game their way, but didn't take them. Just before half time, abit of sloppy defending resulting in Elford taking the lead for the second time. In an end to end second half, Rangers again created some good chances but could not take them.      Man of the Match: Eddie Poultney.

13/09/2003 - At times, Rangers played some good football but at other times they were not sharp enough and paid the penalty. That said there were enough chances to have won the game, but a little more determination is required. The ability is certainly there but some more hard work is required. Rangers lost this to a single goal where too often, too many players just weren't switched on.        Man of the Match: James Barber.

06/09/2003 - A good performance in the first league game of the season. Rangers played some very good football and created enough chances to have scored more than the 2 goals. The passing and movement were very good and the defence looked solid. The lads tired in the second half but the fitness will improve in the coming weeks.     Man of the Match: Kieran Darkes.
