Playgroup aims to provide and extend through play, children's learning in all the developmental areas - physical, emotional, intellectual, linguistic and social as appropriate to each child's needs. This is achieved using a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities and a wide variety of resources, to stimulate learning and a child's interest. Activities are carried out both within small and large group settings.

For many children, Playgroup staff are the first adults outside their immediate family that they learn to trust. All our Playgroup staff are experienced and hold Childcare Qualifications.

Playgroup hours are 9:15am - 12:15pm, 1pm - 3pm or 9:15am - 3pm Monday to Friday. After Playgroup facilities are available Monday to Thursday until 5:30pm. Children can remain for the whole day 9:15am - 3pm if desired. The cost of Playgroup is only £2.10 per hour.

Children are eligible for Playgroup from circa 2 years of age. This is usually the three terms prior to them entering the Nursery class.
