At work or home, to you or a member of your immediate family that is dependant on you. The Union via its solicitors cover claims for damages, this takes away any financial costs to you, which are bourne by the Union. The Union also provide, help with the Benefits Agency and assistance about the personal accident insurance scheme (members only) at no cost to you the member.

The Union provides free legal advice on non-work related issues. To contact the call centre where trained personnel can offer you advice ring:

If a personal interview is required,
you can contact the local solicitors who provide this
service for us. They are Edwards Duthie provide a free
first interview advice scheme. If you need to use this
service contact Edwards Duthie direct on (020) 8514 9000
state you are a member of the CWU, and they will make an
appointment. You will need to produce your Union
Membership card when you attend to prove you are a member.
Any problems please contact our office. If you engage a
solicitor to act on your behalf you do so on a private
client basis and the CWU will not be responsible for any
costs incurred.
Edwards Duthie also provide a variety of discounted services for Union members including free wills for member's and discounted rates on buying and selling properties.
