Although the Branch Officers have specific tasks allotted to them, we in fact work as a team. We cover each other's work area when officers are absent and when a phone call comes into the office ; it rings at every officer's desk. You get effectively whoever picks it up first. In the rare event of no one being here during work hours, the answerphone will pick up the message, or give you the option of contacting an officer on their mobile phone. Branch Chair - Alan Kingett was the Chair of Greater London East and before that, was Secretary of Met. East External Branch. He has been a full time branch officer for 20 years. Political Officer – Paul Stygal was Secretary of Greater London East and before that, was Secretary of the Romford Branch. He has been a full time branch officer for 16 years. Branch Secretary - Denis Shea was officer for the same duties in Greater London East and before that, was Chair of Met. East External. He has been a full time branch officer for 12years. Accident & Welfare Officer - John Fattorusso was officer for the same duties in Greater London East and before that, was Chair of Romford Branch. He has been a full time branch officer for 13 years. Financial Secretary – Paul Hodder has undertaken many duties in the East London Branch and has undertaken part time duties for the last 20 years. Health & Safety Co-ordinator – Alan Godden is new to officer’s duties having served less than one year. As you can see, there is a vast amount of experience and knowledge at your disposal and it doesn't end there. The Branch Officers couldn't function without the help of the committee. This consists of a further 15 members with various specialisms and many years experience, who the officers can call on for help and advice. We believe this set up offers you the members, the best service possible.
