The CWU represents over 250,000
members in the communications, postal and financial
services industries in the United Kingdom. The London
East Branch represents communications members within the
geographical area associated with East London, as shown
on the map on the home page. The Branch Office is centred
at the hub of the area at Ilford.The area borders London at Poplar, Walthamstow, Chingford and extends East to include Ingrebourne, Upminster, South Ockendon and Purfleet. The Thames forms a natural southern limit to the Branch area.
