Review

Another stunning figure from the Dragon WWII German line featuring many 'new pattern' items and some completely new ones. The double size box is full of great items enabling one of four type of sturmpionier infantryman to be made up.

The head sculpt is terrific and has the look of a hard nosed campaign veteran, complete with scars to prove it.

The uniform is well made, fitting the figure nicely, and has subdued buttons. The boots are subtly weathered and are of the newer type. The camo smock is a new item and features the spring 'blurred edge' pattern; Again a nice item.

Dragon have pulled out all the stops on the equipment front there being a wealth of new and new pattern items, for example the wire cutters, that feature a working cutting action, are new and the K98 ammo pouches are new pattern and feature opening tops - brilliant!!

The flame thrower is a terrific piece of equipment although you should take care of the very fragile plastic buckles.

Also included are a large green back pack and two smaller tan packs all made from cloth and very nicely detailed for this scale.

Overall: A well deserved four stars. Get one for your collection
