Review
Bruno
represents an early WWII infantry schütze at the time of the
invasion of France. The head sculpt is up to the usual Dragon
standard but has a far away almost vacant look and has dirty blond
hair.
He is
dressed in the early war uniform of green tunic with dark green
collar (my example has the national eagle insignia over the pocket
missing), and slate grey trousers. The steel helmet is the early
pattern with double decals but with the new pattern liner. All the
uniform items are well made and finished as we expect. A word of
caution...the national insignia is not applied to the tunic..you
will have to do it. You will find it selotaped to the clear
packing somewhere.
Most
of the equipment items are new pattern or updated previously
released items and are finished in a 'new issue' condition without
weathering applied.
The
zeltban is a fully functioning item but because of the limitations
of using full size cloth is a bit big when rolled but is still good
nonetheless.
I also
like the fact the Dragon are putting buttons on the bread bag belt
straps as per the real item - another plus for Dragon.
A nice
touch is the new pattern bayonet that can be attached to the end of
the rifle if you wish. Also included are four clips of ammunition
for the K98 rifle that can be placed in the fully functional K98
ammo pouches.
The
only thing I couldn't figure out is how to attach the gas sheet case
to the gas mask can strap.
Overall: Another good addition
to the WWII German range featuring some nicely reworked equipment items. Get
one or more for your collection.
